Softball Decorating Contest
Besides some great softball, the annual softball decorating contest is a big part of our annual Halloween Classic Tournament. We're excited to offer our contest again this year!
For information on the 16th annual Halloween Classic Softball Decorating Contest please go here.
Here are some entries from year's past! Creative and fun - beware though, they might be too scary for ya!

Tournament T-shirts
Yes, they are quite popular and this year will be no different. There will be a company on site to print shirts on demand. At Claude Moore Park, the stand will be around Fields #1, 2 and 3. At Potomac Lakes, the stand will be in the center of the complex.
Out of Town VisitorsWe are pleased to offer great rates for our out-of-town guests via the Zenith Group, our official housing provider. Teams staying overnight MUST use Zenith for room bookings to get these great rates. We work with the hotels to be certain they are "team friendly," offering things like free breakfast, laundry facilities and pull out sofa beds. Zenith can help you find a room with the amenities you need.

Refund Information
If the tournament is canceled due to Covid-19 we will issue a full refund
If you have to withdraw from the tournament
Things happen. Plans change. So refunds are based on how much scheduling and rescheduling is required to patch up the tournament if you withdraw. And if you have ever scheduled a tournament, you understand this completely.
So if you withdraw
- 21 days or more prior to the tournament - Full Refund
- less then 21 days but before the schedule is posted - $375 refund ($150 admin fee)
- after the schedule is posted - $200
- after the tournament begins - no refund (which shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone)
If the weather just doesn't want to cooperate
We are thinking positive for 2021
If for some reason we can't play at all again this year, we'll refund everything except for an administrative cost associated with the tournament.
After that, it will depend on the number of games you play.
- none = $375 refund (this covers our sunk costs for posters, advertising, fees, postage, etc.)
- one = $250 refund
- two or more = no refund
Important things we learned from previous years
We realize a number of teams travel to get to our tournaments so safety getting to/from the field and on the field is our #1 priority. We post updates and cancellations on the tournament website and send emails to the teams to keep them informed.
Hopefully we won't need to do that for the 2021 tournament but it is important that we
- have current email contact information for your team so we can send schedule updates
- have current contact and address information for refund checks, shipping address for pre-ordered cool apparel
Please be sure to include your team name, age group, contact information, and address information (preferably not a P.O. Box since we can't ship stuff to a P.O. Box) with your registration payment.

Things To Do
Yes, there's a lot of fun to be had and softball to be played over the weekend. But there are usually fun attractions and holiday events in the local area so we'll add them here so if you get the chance between games, you can attend a haunted house, find your way through a corn maze, navigate through a shopping mall, or visit some of the historic landmarks in the area.
