Showcase is ON for this weekend
We are told the Showcase is ON for this weekend barring anymore significant rain. We are revising the schedule to accommodate a couple of teams that have chosen to stay home this coming weekend (they want to participate but are in areas dealing with significant storm damage).
Showcase Weather Update
We are told the infields are firming up nicely and they plan on keeping the fields closed until this weekend to allow them to continue to improve. We will have a final decision this afternoon from Parks and Recs but it is looking promising for this weekend's Showcase tournament.

Tournament Basics
This is a showcase tournament so the purpose is to showcase the players. More information can be found in the Rules (which can be downloaded in the Rules section below) but the basics are as follows:
4 game guarantee
We will follow ASA rules except for the following to facilitate showcasing the players:
Free, unlimited defensive substitution
You can bat your entire line-up
Game time is 1:20 (80 minutes). We'll be trying to keep on schedule to make it easier for the college coaches.
This year we will not be using courtesy runners for pitchers and catchers based on input from college coaches.

Team Check-in
Teams can check in for the tournament at the site of their first game. Wristbands can be picked up at check-in. See the fancy chart below for what the different colors mean. Please check-in 45 minutes before your first game.
Player Wristbands
These colorful wristbands should be worn by players to make it easier for college coaches to determine their age/grade and availability. They can be picked up from the site director when you check-in before your first game.
Committed is for players that have committed to play softball at a college/university already.
